Privacy

Hooked is a free daily trivia game, paid for by ads and the optional $5 Hooked Pass. Here is exactly what the game keeps, who helps run it, and how to delete it.

01What every player’s game keeps

On your device

Your browser keeps your streak, past hauls, catch log, chosen sky and sound settings, your sign-in if you logged in, whether you own the Hooked Pass, and whether you passed the age check (not your birthday). Hooked stores this in your browser’s local storage, not in cookies.

Counting players

To count how many people play, the game sends an anonymous random ID made on your device, the day, which mode you played and your score. It also sends answers you typed that weren’t accepted, so real ones can be added to the lists. None of this includes your name, email or account.

02Optional extras (13 and up)

Account

Logging in is optional. If you sign in with Google or with an email and password, we store your email address and your Hooked progress (daily hauls, catch log, streak and best haul) so it follows you to other devices. Passwords are stored securely hashed by Supabase; we never see them. With Google, our sign-in service receives your name, email and profile picture from Google; we only use your first name, to say hello. We use your email only to sign you in and to send sign-up and password-reset emails. No newsletters or marketing.

Crews, duels and Harbor boards

If you join a crew, a 1v1 duel or a private Harbor board, your display name and your scores are shown to the other players in it. Pick a nickname, not your full name.

Hooked Pass

The optional $5 pass is a one-time payment (no subscription, nothing renews). Payment is handled by Stripe; Hooked never sees your card number. We keep a record that your account owns the pass, the date, Stripe’s payment reference and the email Stripe gives us for your receipt.

03Who helps run Hooked

We don’t sell or hand over your email, scores, answers or account to anyone, advertisers included. Ad partners only see what your browser sends them on Hooked’s pages, described above. Like any website, these services see standard technical details such as your IP address in order to deliver the page.

04Children

Anyone can play the daily haul without giving any personal information. Accounts, crews, duels, Harbor boards and the Hooked Pass are for players 13 and older, and we ask for a birthday before any of them. If you think a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

05Your choices and deleting your data

This device: clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

Your account: email support@hookeddailygame.com from your account’s email with “Delete my Hooked account”. We delete your account and progress within 30 days. Payment records that Stripe must keep stay with Stripe.

Ads: change your ad choices any time with the privacy or consent link the ad partner adds to the page, block cookies in your browser, or opt out of personalized ads at Google Ad Settings and optout.aboutads.info. The Hooked Pass removes ads completely.

Your rights: wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Just email us.

06Ezoic’s disclosures
